Description

North Staffordshire CCG and Stoke on Trent CCG, Stafford and Surrounds CCG, Cannock Chase CCG, South East Staffordshire CCG and East Staffordshire CCG currently commission an GP Out of Hours service which includes ED streaming and service to Staffordshire Prisons, an Urgent Care Centre and a 111 system. All of the above contracts were awarded separately to Vocare Ltd. In order to ensure continuity of service the CCGs are proposing to amalgamate all contracts and award a new interim contract to the existing provider with a coordinated end date of 30.9.2020 to allow the CCGs time to complete a procurement exercise for a Pan Staffordshire Integrated Urgent Care Service. North Staffordshire CCG and Stoke on Trent CCG currently commission an Integrated GP Out of Hours service which includes ED streaming and the Urgent Care Centre based at the University Hospital of North Midlands Royal Stoke Hospital site. Stafford and Surrounds CCG and Cannock Chase CCG, South East Staffordshire CCG currently commission under a separate contract GP Out of Hours Services; this incorporates all Prisons in the County of Staffordshire. This is offered on a basis of direct referral to patients registered with GPs contracted with the named CCGs via the 111 system. East Staffordshire CCG currently commission a GP Out of Hours contract under a lead provider framework with that service ending 30.6.2019. All of the above contracts were awarded separately to Vocare Ltd. The North Contract is valid to 31.3.2021 and the South Contract to 31.7.2020. NHS England commissioned on behalf of the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent CCGs the NHS 111 service which was awarded to Vocare Ltd and with the original contract extended to 31.3.2020.
