Description

Icanho provides a specialist community neurorehabilitation service for adults aged 18 years and over who are registered with a GP practice in Suffolk and the Great Yarmouth and Waveney locality. The provision supports people with acquired neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury, brain tumours and other acquired brain injuries, who require coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation to maximise recovery, improve functional independence and optimise quality of life. The multidisciplinary team includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology and vocational rehabilitation, delivering personalised, goal-orientated interventions tailored to individual need. Rehabilitation addresses physical, cognitive, communication, behavioural, psychological and vocational impacts of neurological injury, whilst also supporting families and carers throughout the rehabilitation journey. Working as part of the wider Norfolk and Suffolk rehabilitation pathway, Icanho collaborates with acute hospitals, community health services, primary care, mental health services, social care and voluntary sector partners to provide timely access to specialist rehabilitation, facilitate safe discharge, support community reintegration and reduce avoidable demand on health and care services through evidence-based community rehabilitation Lot 1: Icanho provides a specialist community neurorehabilitation service for adults aged 18 years and over who are registered with a GP practice in Suffolk or the Great Yarmouth and Waveney locality. The provision supports individuals with acquired neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, hypoxic brain injury, brain tumours and other acquired brain injuries, who require coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation to maximise recovery, improve functional independence and optimise quality of life. Rehabilitation is delivered by a specialist multidisciplinary team including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology and vocational rehabilitation. The provision forms part of the wider Norfolk and Suffolk rehabilitation pathway and works collaboratively with acute hospitals, community services, primary care, mental health services, social care and voluntary sector partners to deliver personalised, goal-orientated rehabilitation and support safe discharge and community reintegration. The contract will commence on 1 May 2026 and is proposed to run for an initial period of three years, ending on 30 April 2029. The Commissioner will hold the option to extend the contract for up to a further two years, which may be exercised as either a single two-year extension or in accordance with the terms set out within the contract. If all extension options are exercised, the contract will expire on 30 April 2031. The annual contract value is £716,560 excluding VAT. Based on the full potential contract term of five years (including extensions), the estimated maximum lifetime value of the contract is £3,582,800 excluding VAT. This value is based on current contract prices and does not include any future inflationary uplifts that may be applied in accordance with national NHS guidance. NHS Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board are awarding the contract named within this notice under the Direct Award C process which is outlined within the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The provider named in this notice is an existing provider and has been reviewed through a Key Criteria assessment to ensure the awarding body is satisfied with current performance and reasonably expects the provider to be able to satisfy the contract which is the subject of this notice. The contract which is the subject of this notice has not changed considerably when compared with the existing / previous contract delivered by the named provider. The ICB may wish to introduce additional services during the lifetime of the contract ("Contract modifications"). Such contract modifications will be contemplated where additional requirements are similar and or complementary to the services already included in the Specification, at any given time. Such expansion would be by the addition of services commissioned by the Authority as named in the Contract Notice. To this end, after the award of contract, there is a possibility that the contract may be varied as allowable in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
