NUI Galway (NUIG) requires the services of a Customs Clearance Agent / Import Agency Service to provide Customs Clearance Agency services in response to planned and unplanned international freight requirements. The appointed Customs Clearance Agent will support NUIG’s import and export of goods including equipment, foodstuffs, livestock, pharmaceuticals, and operational supplies. NUIG have a devolved purchasing structure where departmental buyers manage local procurements which will lead to many varying requests, from multiple points of contact. The University require a Customs Clearance agent that understands all the Customs Rules and Laws and ensure compliance of the same in a speedy manner to ensure that NUIG’s import/export consignment is cleared within the allotted schedule and does not incur demurrage, delays or customs penalties.
