DVA test centre and separate office accommodation designed to current standards with site works including access roads, junction upgrade and significant retention structures due to level changes (approx 17 m). Test centre (3 942 m2): vehicle testing and plant zones with a two-storey administrative block. Test hall has column free portal frame structure extending to internal height over 10 m with automated air quality system. Depot (3 209 m2): office accommodation for 170 workstations arranged around a three-storey open atrium void with vehicle storage area at lower ground level Various facade treatment, bris soleil, cantilevered canopies and retaining walls. M and E: power, data, heating, ventilation and lighting. Sustainability: PV arrays, solar panels, passive cooling, SUDS and rain water harvesting. Utilities: HV cabling, substation, drainage with connections to existing system interface with employer's direct suppliers BREEAM Excellent target NEC3 ECC design and build.
