Birmingham City Council is seeking an individual or organisation to complete a review of best practice and a technology foresighting exercise to feed into its waste contract review. Birmingham City Council will be re-commissioning a new waste contract to begin in 2019. In order to ensure that the most effective and sustainable solution(s) to reduction, reuse and recycling of waste is achieved the City Council wants to undertake a review of best practice and a technology foresighting exercise. The successful individual/ organisation will need to provide written evidence of the following: • In-depth knowledge of the waste industry, including new technologies and innovation. • In depth knowledge of the way in which waste can deliver on sustainability objectives, including better outcomes for communities. • Track record of working on other high profile/ high value projects • An ability to work with cross-sectoral stakeholders • Delivery of project outcomes on time and within agreed budget. • A methodology demonstrating the approach taken, ensuring each aspect of the specification is addressed. • The Curriculum Vitae (or equivalent) of each individual identified to deliver the project, demonstrating the link between their responsibilities in contract delivery and their experience/knowledge/expertise • A list of projects delivered by the bidder in this, or a similar field and testimonials from clients where available, or an equivalent, demonstrating the quality of outputs. • Identify costs for the project, against each element as per the specification, including individual’s hourly rate and time spent on each task If you are interested in tendering please click on the following link to access Birmingham City Council’s tender Portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc/ and submit your details to register as a bidder.
