Description
Tenders are invited by the Council from Contractors with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the provision of Bikeability in Kirklees (the "Services"). Kirklees Council ("the Council"), under the Bikeability standard, is seeking to appoint up to 4 suitably qualified and experienced cycle training contractors to provide training in schools across the borough. Successful contractors shall be required to co-ordinate bookings, provide suitable equipment and safely deliver training to the National Standard for Cycle Training (Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training, PLUS Balance, Learn to Ride & Level 3 training) in schools across Kirklees. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training. Bikeability aims to encourage more people to travel sustainably, increase the number of children being active on a daily basis and to reduce pedal cycle casualties. The anticipated commencement date for the Contract(s) is 1st April 2024. Lot 1: Rural Kirklees (Holmfirth) Successful contractors shall be required to co-ordinate bookings, provide suitable equipment and safely deliver training to the National Standard for Cycle Training (Level 1&2combined/Level 2 training, PLUS Balance, Learn to Ride & Level 3 training) in schools across Kirklees. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training. Bikeability aims to encourage more people to travel sustainably, increase the number of children being active on a daily basis and to reduce pedal cycle casualties. Lot 2: North Kirklees (Dewsbury & Batley) Successful contractors shall be required to co-ordinate bookings, provide suitable equipment and safely deliver training to the National Standard for Cycle Training (Level 1&2combined/Level 2 training, PLUS Balance, Learn to Ride & Level 3 training) in schools across Kirklees. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training. Lot 3: North Kirklees ( Spen) Successful contractors shall be required to co-ordinate bookings, provide suitable equipment and safely deliver training to the National Standard for Cycle Training (Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training, PLUS Balance, Learn to Ride & Level 3 training) in schools across Kirklees. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training. The majority of this delivery will focus on Level 1&2 combined/Level 2 training.
