BBC Radio and Music are to replace most of their existing Radio Outside Broadcast fleet of technically equipped vehicles with 6 new equipped vehicles (HGV). There are to be two categories of vehicle: • four multipurpose vehicles capable of covering all genres of broadcast other than the most complex of high end music balancing. • two specialist music balance vehicles which will be, wherever possible, similar to the multipurpose vehicles but will be larger and more comprehensively equipped to meet the requirements of high end music balance work. This contract is for the provision of digital mixing consoles for these vehicles and it will closely consider the demands of the Outside Broadcast environment and the integration with working practices and broadcast systems typically used.
