Community Echocardiography Services for Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group

Description

This service will provide a community transthoracic echocardiography service for patients within the Mid Essex CCG locality to include provision of an administration system for patient appointments as well as clinical services. The service is expected to: - Provide patients management for the booking and administration of clinic appointments; - Return inappropriate referrals to the referring practice with an explanation; - Undertake (where appropriate) and report on echocardiograms; - Utilise the services of a GPSwI to write treatment recommendation letters to accompany each echo report; - Make available to secondary care all echo images and reports via a secure archive system The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change.
