The Sami Parliament of Norway invites tenderers to a tender contest for a contribution-financed research project on Sami nursery pedagogics. The aim of the research project is that: — scientific theories are formed on Sami nursery pedagogics and didactics; — the development work done in the pilot nurseries is to be documented through participatory research. The contract period is from the start in the late winter 2021 to the completion and presentation of the research report in December 2022/January 2023. The contract for the research project will include carrying out research on Sami nursery pedagogics and didactics. The Sami Parliament of Norway's aim for the research is that: — the research must be connected to the development work in the pilot nurseries; — participatory research is used to highlight, explain, define, and also document what Sami nursery pedagogics and didactics are. The pedagogics and didactics are based on Sami culture, language, and traditional knowledge, and strengthen Sami children's right to their language and culture; — the research helps to ensure that Sami content and the starting point in Sami nurseries is permanent and pursued in all Sami nurseries and other institutions, and it can form the basis for Sami nursery pedagogics and didactics in the future. The research results must be adapted and implemented in the everyday life of the nurseries. This means that Sami nurseries can work in accordance with Sami thinking, use Sami educational methods based on the Sami language, culture, and traditional knowledge that is adapted to a modern Sami society. The contract period is from the start in the late winter 2021 to the completion and presentation of the research report in December 2022/January 2023. The financial limit from the Sami Parliament in Norway is maximum NOK 2,000,000. The Sami Parliament of Norway draws attention to the fact that the tenderer can help finance the research project, if this is deem to be appropriate.
