Acivico Building Consultancy Ltd on behalf of Birmingham City Council invites tenders for the demolition of Warwin House, 42-46 New Summer Street, Hockley, Birmingham, B19, 3TG. There are parts of the building which are severely fire damaged. The works comprise of the demolition, general site clearance, removal of asbestos containing materials, regrading of site, accommodation works and fencing. The site must be well secured by use of appropriate fencing during and at the end of the contract. The contract will be for a duration of 9 weeks commencing, which may commence on the 19th April and completed by 14 June 2024. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. Requests to participate must be by way of completion and return of the tender documentation no later than 12 noon on 23rd February 2024 using the Supplier Portal. Site Visits: It is recommended that potential suppliers undertake a site visit to ascertain the existing conditions that could affect the demolition process and make sure that their tender price is sufficient to carry out the project safely. It is however a recommendation not a condition of the tender, therefore and if a potential supplier wishes to visit the site, then they should read the following information and act on it accordingly. Open morning has been assigned to view the site and buildings which will take place on Wednesday 7th February 2024 between the hours of 9:00am to 11:00am. Please note PPE is recommended to be worn due to the fire damaged areas. Attendance can be any time between 9am and 11am. Any persons arriving after 11am will not be permitted to enter the site. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO INSPECT THE SITE. A maximum of three persons per potential supplier will be allowed to enter the building. The maximum time allocated is 20 minutes inside the building. The potential supplier's representatives will be required to sign in and provide contact details (mobile numbers) whilst on site. No hand wash facilities are on site and each person must bring their own hand sanitiser. The potential supplier's representatives will be responsible for providing their own PPE. Parking facilities are not available on site and on the road, however, there is a pay and display car ...
