This is for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) to enter into a four-year sole supply commitment for knee implants with Zimmer Biomet, covering approximately 80% of knee procedures via the All Wales Framework. Lot 1: Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) faces increasing demand for knee replacement procedures, driven by an aging population and the need to improve patient mobility and quality of life. To meet these challenges while maintaining financial sustainability and clinical excellence, the Health Board must adopt procurement strategies that deliver value, consistency, and innovation. A commitment deal with Zimmer Biomet represents a strategic solution aligned with these objectives.
