Provision of a Senior Integration Development Resource for the Student Information System Project
Published
Description
In the context of its five-year strategic plan, Talent, Discovery and Transformation 2018-2023, DCU is currently in the process of implementing a cloud-based Student Information System (SIS) to assist our objectives as a globally engaged university. The SIS Programme has a key role to play in the achievement of the University strategic goals, leveraging the affordances of digital technology and systems integration to enhance the experience of both students and staff, and facilitate operational excellence. The SIS programme has been mobilised in the Office of the Vice-President Academic Affairs to deliver this transformational change. DCU currently has a requirement for one (1) Senior Integration Developer to work as part of the SIS Programme Team, reporting to the Technology Integration Lead or nominee, The Senior Integration Developer will lead the design and implementation of strategic ICT initiatives with a specific focus on system integration. Whilst assuming the role of subject matter expert in the area of system integration, s/he will work closely with other team members, the wider DCU stakeholder group and technology vendors to ensure that DCU systems communicate via APIs using a modern integration platform. The resource will have strong leadership, customer-service, and communications skills and will be a key SIS interface with other groups across the University and with external partners.
