Description
Mold Town Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the installation, maintenance, removal and secure storage of the Council's Christmas lighting scheme within Mold Town Centre. The contract will include the annual installation of Council-owned Christmas lighting and associated equipment, Christmas tree lighting and decoration, maintenance and emergency call-outs during the operational period, dismantling and removal following the Christmas period, secure storage, annual testing and certification and inspection and verification of relevant catenary and anchor infrastructure. The successful contractor will also be required to undertake an initial inspection of the Council-owned lighting stock following contract award and to prepare and maintain a comprehensive photographic asset register recording the condition and location of the Council's lighting equipment. The initial contract term will be five years commencing with the 2026 Christmas lighting season, with an option for Mold Town Council to extend the contract for a further one year. The Council-owned Christmas lighting stock is currently held by the incumbent contractor and access to inspect the stock during the tender period cannot be guaranteed. The Council will facilitate handover of the stock to the successful contractor as soon as practicable following contract award. The successful contractor must have sufficient resources and capacity to mobilise immediately following contract award and complete the 2026 Christmas lighting installation no later than 20 November 2026.
