Consultancy Services for the Environmental and Natural Resources Sectors

EIB is launching a call for tenders with the aim of establishing Framework Agreements with Service Providers in the environmental and natural resources sectors throughout its countries of operations, to provide support to the Environment and Natural Resources Department’s project cycle activities at any stage (e.g., appraisal, monitoring). In terms of technical scope, in the environmental and natural resources sectors, the assistance may cover the following sectors: water and sanitation, bio-economy, circular economy and integrated solid waste management. Lot 1: Water, Sanitation and Flood Protection Lot 1: Water, sanitation and flood protection: 1. general sector issues; 2. water resources and water supply; 3. wastewater management including reuse; 4. flood management and hydrology. Lot 2: Bio Economy Lot 2: Bio economy: 1. agriculture value chain (crop, livestock, water management, agro-food industry); 2. forestry value chain (primary forestry and forest-based industries); 3. aquaculture and marine resources (primary production and value chain); 4. biofuels and biomaterials production. Lot 3: Circular Economy Lot 3: Circular economy: 1. circular economy studies, strategic orientation and guidance; 2. circular design and production – new products and assets that are designed and produces in a way to reduce virgin material consumption and waste generation; 3. circular use – new business models and strategies that optimise capacity utilisation and extend the useful life of products and assets; 4. circular value recovery – closure of resource and material loops through material recovery and recycling of end-of-life products and materials; 5. circular support – services and tools, in particular information and communication technologies (ICT), that enable circular economy projected in the previous three areas. Lot 4: Integrated Solid Waste Management Lot 4: Integrated solid waste management: 1. awareness raising measures; 2. collection of municipal waste and recyclable materials; 3. municipal waste sorting; 4. acquisition of collection equipment, with a particular focus on material and bio-waste recovery for recycling; 5. municipal waste treatment (aerobic and anaerobic); 6. municipal waste disposal; 7. hazardous waste; 8. management and rehabilitation of polluted areas and hazardous waste management, treatment and disposal and/or closure and rehabilitation of old landfills and dumpsites.
