Provision of Grounds Winter Maintenance

Description

Provision of winter ground maintenance including proactive and reactive gritting and snow clearing. Lot 1: Snow clearing and gritting services is essential in ensuring that in times of adverse weather that UHI Moray can remain open with safe roads and carparks for both its students and staff. The College is seeking to enter into a contract with a Contractor to provide fully qualified personnel and equipment to perform snow clearing and gritting activities at its following sites: UHI Moray, Moray Street, Elgin, IV30 1JJ UHI Moray Technology Centre, Linkwood Road, Elgin IV30 6DJ Please note that UHI Moray retain the option to include additional sites throughout the contract term, should a requirement arise. A formal contract amendment would be agreed with the Contractor, in accordance with relevant Procurement Legislation and Terms and Conditions of Contract. Description of Works/Scope The scope of work is as follows but not limited to - Gritting of all College Private Access Roads. Snow Clearing of all College Private Access Roads. Gritting of all College Private Car Parks. Snow Clearing of all College Private Car Parks. Salting of all College Paths, Pavements & Walkways Snow Clearing of all College Paths, Pavements & Walkways Salting of all College Stairs, Steps and Doorways Snow Clearing of all College Stairs, Steps and Doorways Removal of Displaced Snow from the College Premises if deemed a Safety hazard Scheduled visits according to the MET Office website https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/ Reactive Visit as and when required as per instruction from UHI Moray Facilities Team
