Oban South Pier – Replacement full retention separator

Description

It is proposed to remove the existing interceptor and its 2 No. access manholes and replace with a full retention separator which is fully compliant with current regulations and reuse/reworking of some of the existing pipework including construction of 1 No. new manhole upstream of the separator to allow future isolation for maintenance and 1 No. new access manhole over the new separator 2 No. access chambers. Installation of duck billed and flap valves downstream of the separator are intended to prevent the backflow of seawater into the separator.
