Flat roof re-roofing

Description

Re-roofing two flat roofs (area approximately 200m2) at the back of Glasgow Women’s Library. Proposed system: Protan vacuum warm roof system. Lot 1: Glasgow Women's Library is looking to appoint a suitably experienced contractor to re-roofing two flat roofs (area approximately 200m2) at the back of their building. The current build-up includes roof felt, layers of various timber roofing, PIR insulation and gravel/concrete slabs. The current roof build-up is to be stripped back down to the concrete slabs, and a roof core test and pull out test to be carried out. Once the suitability of the existing concrete deck is established, a new proposed waterproof system to be installed on the two flat roofs to architect's specification. Proposed new system: - Existing concrete deck - Protan Torch on VCL - Tapered Rockwool Insulation – the proposed product will be Hardrock Multi-Fix DD. The insulation design and thickness are to be confirmed following site visit / stripping of roof areas to ascertain heights or any other project constraints. - Protan SE 1.6 Membrane incorporated into the Protan Vacuum System Preferably proposed full system will be provided by Protan to ensure that Client receives a Single Point Warranty (Materials & Workmanship) on completion of the roofing works. Architect's drawings of details, product details and specifications and plan for tapered insulation build-up are provided in the tender documents.
