The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invited Quotes from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of Designated Person services for Newport and Ventnor Harbours in accordance with the Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC). The Port Marine Safety Code requires that all UK harbour authorities, including Newport and Ventnor Harbours (statutory harbours), appoint a Designated Person (or Persons). The Designated Person is required to provide independent assurance that the safety management system (SMS) is functioning correctly and to audit the harbour authority's compliance with the Code. The term of the contract is from 1 April 2022 until 31 March 2025 with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years at the sole discretion of the Authority. Keywords: harbour, designated person
