Description

KfW intends to embed the usage of open data in financial cooperation. Open data and new innovative forms of data collection should extend KfW’s existing data approach. Consequently, this requires an in depth assessment of how to best use open data across varied sectors and in specific single sectors. For that reason, KfW requires a systematic analysis of a usage scenario, best practices and personnel training. The assignment of the consultant has the following objectives: — matching open data sources with financial cooperation’s data demands; — concept, support and dissemination of an open data analysis platform to be built by another technical consultant; — advising and integrating open data into financial cooperation’s project cycle; — capacity building and knowledge sharing of best practice around open data usage within KfW; Writing ToR and a bid evaluation scheme for another consultant (training and learning specialist); — external knowledge sharing, in particular with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and international development community and presenting of results. KfW will contract one senior consultant. The assignment shall comprise up to 363 working days over a period of 24 months. KfW expects the consultant to carry out his/her services at its premises in Frankfurt-am-Main for at least 4 days a week. Parts of the services can be carried out remotely. A temporary and rotating working space at KfW Frankfurt will be provided for the times during which the consultant will work at KfW. The assignment shall start in August 2020.
