The purchase of the equipment will include 1 year warranty followed by 4 years of annual maintenance and support. Lot 1: A Collision/Reaction Cell ICPMS System to be used for the analysis of Aqueous, Sediment and Biota Samples The equipment shall comprise of an automated inductively coupled plasma torch ion source with a quadrupole mass analyser and detection system. The system must include a cell, placed between the ion optics and the analyser quadrupole. The equipment will be used for the analysis of a range of environmental matrices including waters (freshwater, sewage, and trade effluents), soils, sediments, biota (flora and fauna) and associated materials after appropriate acid digestion. The system may also be used for investigative sample screening for pollution response analysis using semi-quantitative scanning. Lot 2: An ICPOES System to be used for the analysis of Aqueous and Sediment Samples. The equipment shall comprise of a dual view ICPOES instrument with suitable sample introduction system. The equipment will be used for the analysis of a range of environmental matrices including waters (freshwater, sewage, and trade effluents), soils, sediments, biota (flora and fauna) and associated materials after appropriate acid digestion.
