T24-044BUS PEACEPLUS Farming and Environmental Champions

Published

Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Farming and Environmental Champions. This is a Farming and Community based Environment project focusing on the concept of environmental changes. This project is focused in the Sperrin District Electoral Area (DEA) and the key benefit of this project should be to participants from within that DEA although participation from farmers groups and rural communities across the council area and immediate cross-border area is also welcomed. Participants will explore and engage with their local environment, completing local actions designed to improve the environment, heritage biodiversity and water quality management. It will support efforts to establish a NW Environmental Champions Centre of Excellence at Silverbrook Mill and to make Environmental Champions Sustainable. The project will engage with the network of community based and farmer groups across the DCSDC district on a cross border basis in East Donegal and will deliver a series of best practices visits, identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities, while farmers health checks and capacity building support will be available to local groups. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail. Lot 1: Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Farming and Environmental Champions.
