Description

University of Limericks, School of Engineering, request the supply of two horizontal bench top tensile testing machines for use in a material science undergraduate teaching laboratory. The principal purpose of the instrument is to be able to perform a range of tests on specimen samples. These tests include tensile, compression and Brinell hardness tests. The type of specimens being tested include, steel, aluminium, brass, copper, glass, chalk and paper. An extensometer, which can be connected to the machine is desirable. In addition to this, the machine must have a data acquisition system to record all test data and connect to a computer.
