Supported by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit, Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group sought to commission home oxygen service — assessment and review and community pulmonary rehabilitation services for patients registered with a Somerset GP. The procurement was split into 2 lots: Lot 1. Home Oxygen Service — Assessment and Review, and Lot 2. Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The contract will be for an initial term of 2 years, with an option to extend for any period up to a further 2 years, as defined and at the sole discretion of the commissioner. Services are scheduled to commence on 1.10.2019. The cost per annum, exclusive of recoverable VAT is: Lot 1: Home Oxygen Service — Assessment and Review: 200 000 GBP; Lot 2: Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation: 222 000 GBP. The contract value for the combined services is 1 688 000 GBP if the full contract term is fulfilled. Services are scheduled to commence on 1.10.2019. The cost per annum, exclusive of recoverable VAT is 200 000 GBP Following evaluation on the basis of Most Economically Advantageous Tender, the service has been awarded to BOC Ltd. Supported by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit, Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group sought to commission community pulmonary rehabilitation services for patients registered with a Somerset GP. The service will support referrals from clinicians for adults who have been diagnosed with COPD or other chronic progressive respiratory conditions or are pre-/post- thoracic surgery, providing support in the Community from a specialist team for patients registered with a Somerset GP The Contract will be for an initial term of 2 years, with an option to extend for any period up to a further 2 years, as defined and at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. The service is scheduled to commence on 1.10.2019. The cost per annum, exclusive of recoverable VAT is 222 000 GBP following evaluation on the basis of Most Economically Advantageous Tender, the service has been awarded to BOC Ltd.
