A new notice concerning this requirement will be issued in due course***<br/><br/>NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (referred to as the Commissioner) invited suitably qualified and experienced providers to express interest in delivering an Adult non-complex Audiology Service in Birmingham and Solihull.<br/><br/>The Adult Non-Complex Community Audiology service is for patients over 18 years of age, who meet the eligibility criteria set out in this specification. Patients must be registered with a Birmingham and Solihull GP practice for whom Birmingham and Solihull (BSOL) Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the responsible commissioner.<br/><br/>The service required is for a community based, adult screening and hearing assessment service, treatment including earwax removal and automated audiology in line with the GIRFT Community ENT Framework, hearing aid fitting (where required), follow-up and aftercare services. BSOL ICB is seeking to commission full geographical coverage of provision across rural and urban areas.<br/><br/>The Provider will need to meet the needs of eligible patients whose referral indicates:<br/>• Sight loss/dual sensory loss;<br/>• Requiring translation services including language, lip reading and sign language;<br/>• Learning Disabilities – as special test facilities and techniques are needed;<br/>• Requiring domiciliary care – the Provider must provide all parts of the service at the patient’s domicile (including residential or nursing homes) where this is requested in writing by a GP. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply, save for those provisions in the Act which may be applicable under the Procurement Act 2023 (consequential and other amendments) Regulations 2025.
