Peatland Restoration - Inverbroom

Description

Proposed peatland restoration on Scottish Wildlife Trust's Inverbroom reserve Lot 1: The project area covers approximately 816 hectares in the north-west of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Inverbroom reserve, lying to the west of the A832 approximately 6 miles west of Braemore Junction at an altitude of 320-650m above sea level. The project area contains degraded blanket bog affected by hagg and gully erosion, eroding bare peat pans, micro-erosion and modified peatland. A multi-year funding application over three years will be made and informed by responses to this tender. The tender is structured to allow contractors to bid for restoring either the whole site or for (approximately) either half of the site.
