Forestry and Land Scotland (the Authority) looks after the national forests and land to enhance biodiversity, support tourism, and increase access to the green spaces that will help improve Scotland’s physical and mental health and well-being. The Authority also continues to provide vital timber supplies to support a sustainable rural economy. The Authority has a requirement for the provision of Environmental Surveys, as part of the process of managing the national forest estate. The surveys are utilised to make operational decisions which will impact of FLS’ mission ‘to look after Scotland’s forests and land, for the benefit of all, now and for the future’. Survey requirements include: - Ecological Surveys (animal, bird and plant species); - Ecological Surveys (habitat walkover survey); - Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) Surveys (including Rhododendron); - Peatland Surveys (Depth Assessment, Condition Monitoring and Peatland Code); - Archaeological (walkover survey); and - Archaeological (measured survey). Lot 3: Ecological Surveys (Animal, Bird & Plant Species) – West Region Forestry and Land Scotland (the Authority) have a requirement for the provision of Environmental Surveys, as part of the process of managing the national forest estate. The surveys are utilised to make operational decisions which will impact of FLS’ mission ‘to look after Scotland’s forests and land, for the benefit of all, now and for the future’. Survey requirements specifically for this lot are for Ecological Surveys (animal, bird and plant species) in West Region.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
