Description

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade will host the fourth meeting of the Global Irish Economic Forum in Dublin during the period 19 November to 21 November 2015 inclusive. As in 2013, the Forum will take place in Dublin Castle. The Department is issuing this call for tenders in order to select hotels to provide good quality accommodation to Forum participants. The Department will cover the cost of accommodation (room and breakfast) of participants. We have a preference for accommodating the majority of participants in a single hotel to the greatest extent possible, but may wish to select additional hotel(s) if it emerges that no single hotel can meet the full requirement. It is estimated that accommodation will be required for between 180-230 participants on each of the three nights (19th, 20th and 21st), although it is possible that numbers for the last night may be lower. In addition, accommodation may be required for up to 50 participants for the night of 18th November. It will not be possible to provide definitive numbers until closer to the event. Some participants will be accompanied by partners but it must be clearly understood that any hotel costs arising for partners will not be met by the Department.
