Construction Works for small public realm projects in Tewkesbury Town Centre
Published
Description
The High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) is a four-year project which started in 2019. It is funded by Historic England and Tewkesbury Borough Council to deliver, among other things, grants to conserve historic buildings in the traditional town centre and a stream of public realm enhancements. (More information is available at Tewkesbury High Street Heritage Action Zone -- Tewkesbury Borough Council). Because of the way the funding has been structured for the public realm works, money is only now coming on stream to pay for enhancements to the historic town centre, but works must be completed before the end of the scheme in March 2024. One Creative Limited has been commissioned to create designs for four discrete areas of the Tewkesbury's historic town centre to enhance the public space in: o Post Office Lane o Warder's Alley o Smith's Lane o High Street at Bishop's Walk The first three projects listed above involve repaving, lighting and elements of planting and minor construction work. The High Street project will create a pocket park/enhanced seating area. The designs have been through one round of consultation and the detailed designs are now being worked up. Detailed design and specification will be uploaded to the portal in January 2024 for tender. Suppliers that would like to take part in this process are invited to 'Express Interest' upon which will they will be given access to the suitability assessment questionnaire. When the documents have been made available involved suppliers will receive notification via email and the documents can be accessed from the 'My Tenders' area of this website and selecting the 'View Details' button of this project. Please allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted. Any questions relating to this should be made via correspondence on the website and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above.
