Description

Karmøy Municipality will construct a new residential and treatment home in Skudeneshavn, to the south east of the existing Skudenes Secondary School, hereafter called BBH. The building will have 32 nursing home places and 8 sheltered accommodation flats, with the accompanying communal areas, administrative wing, and technical area. The contract also includes the outside area. The site borders Skudenes Secondary School to the north west and Skudenes Old Peoples Home and day centre in the south. The new building will be established on the same site where the old Skudenes residential and treatment home was established. The demolition work has been carried out in a separate contract. See the attached plan description and plan provisions. See the attached plan description and plan provisions. Access to Skudenes BBH will be from Postvegen on the south side of Skudeneshavn Old Peoples Home and day centre. Skudenes BBH will be established as an independent building. Work will not be carried out on the existing old peoples home and day centre other than that the outdoor areas will be common and that there will be upgrades for new joint use. The new building will have an independent architectural expression, but an attempt will be made to adapt the volume and material use to the buildings in the area. This contest concerns a turnkey contract for a new building with a total gross area of 3,790 m² split between two main floors and one technical floor on the level 3. Communal outdoor areas will also be developed. The turnkey contract includes erection of a complete functional and user-ready building. The executing turnkey contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the contract includes all the necessary work for the planning, engineering design and execution. The scope of the contract work includes all work for all disciplines for the engineering design services and construction based on and in accordance with the tender documentation and NS8407:2011 General Contract Provisions for Turnkey Contracts. The budgeted contract sum is a total of NOK 101,600,000 excluding VAT. Progress The engineering design services for the project are scheduled to start as soon as possible after the contract has been signed, the excavation will start in September 2021, and partial hand over will be in December 2022.
