Mid Sussex District Council (the Council) invites tenders for the provision of a Term Contract for the repair and maintenance of its mechanical and electrical services as set out in these documents. Including but not limited to a) Inspection and testing.b) Planned maintenance.c) Remedial works arising from planned inspections or maintenance.d) Responsive repairs, including out of hours callouts.e) Minor repair, installation, alteration, or improvement works.The Commencement Date for the delivery of the works is scheduled to be on Saturday 1st April 2023 at 00:01 hours. The Contract will be awarded for a period of two years and one month until 30th April 2025, with an option to extend for a further two-year period in one year increments subject to performance and the absolute discretion of the Council up to a final contract end date of 30th April 2027. Lot 1: Mid Sussex District Council is procuring a single term contract for the repair and maintenance of its mechanical and electrical services, together with associated minor repair, renewal, alteration and improvement works. This contract will replace a time-expired term contract of a similar nature.The intention is to achieve service efficiencies through the appointment of a single service provider for the majority of mechanical and electrical maintenance work. It is a key requirement that the successful contractor will work closely and constructively with the Council to achieve demonstrable improvements in service efficiency and value for money throughout the life of the contract. As part of these close working arrangements, the successful contractor will be required to use the Council’s property management database, Technology Forge, for the day-to-day management of planned maintenance and responsive repairs.Key Performance Indicators will be agreed at the outset of the contract, based on the objectives set out above. These will be used to measure performance throughout the contract term, and to assess whether or not the contract is to be extended.
