PSF4 Lot 2A- Mill (Threlkeld) Bridge Deck Replacement Design

Description

The aim of the project is for the consultant to design a new reinforced concrete deck and associated surfacing to replace the existing timber deck. The load carrying capacity of the new deck should be as great as possible given the capacity of the existing UBs, with a desirable capacity of achieving C&U 40t loading. The running width of the new deck is to remain the same as is current. The existing parapets are to be reused if possible. Proposals are to be supported with structural calculations. Construction methodologies including requirements for any access, vehicle and pedestrian bypasses, temporary works and installation should be proposed in consultation with experienced contractors.
