ESPON 2020 data and maps updates II

Description

The main objective of this tender is to contract one or more service providers to collect data and metadata, build up time series and fill in existing data gaps, quality check and integrate the data into the ESPON 2020 Database as well as short analysis based on the data and producing maps together with short interpretations and key observations tailormade for policymakers and policy development. Lot 1: Updating and integrating EMPLOY datasets and maps The main objective of the SO1 activity Geography of New Employment Dynamics in Europe (EMPLOY) was to provide evidence on the territorial patterns of employment dynamics within European countries and regions, highlighting the key trends and main drivers of location preferences, with focus on the links between Knowledge Economies, new patterns of (high skilled youth) migration flows within and between countries and their effects on socio-spatial disparities Lot 2: Updating and integrating LOCATE datasets and maps The main objective of the SO1 activity Territories and low-carbon economy (LOCATE) was to provide evidence on the territorial dimension of implementing the low-carbon economy approach in different parts of Europe and in different types of European regions and cities. Lot 3: Updating and integrating "PROFECY" datasets and maps The main objective of the SO1 activity PROFECY was to develop strategies for inner peripheries at European level to overcome their marginalising effects. Lot 4: Updating and integrating "Big Data and Housing" datasets The main objective of the SO3 activity Big Data for Territorial Analysis and Housing Dynamics (Big Data and Housing) was to provide evidence on the housing dynamics in European cities and the wellbeing of European citizens, in particular related to their housing and living situation, via methodologies for using existing big data sources and platforms and indicators for territorial monitoring and analysis. Lot 5: Updating and integrating "CLIMATE" datasets and maps The main objective of the ESPON 2013 applied research project "Climate Change and Territorial Effects on Regions and Local Economies in Europe" (ESPON Climate) was to provide evidence to understand how and to which degree climate change will impact on the competitiveness and cohesion of European regions and Europe as a whole.
