DKIT - Refurbishment & Upgrade Works to existing PJ Carrolls Building

Description

The proposed works are to be carried out in two locations within PJ Carrolls complex. Within the main building there are two number bays which are currently vacant, and it is proposed to convert these areas into Plumbing and Electrical Apprenticeship teaching areas for the School of Engineering. The proposed works to be carried out in two number bays of the main PJ Carroll’s building would consist of stripping out of internal walls, modifying the interior with new partitions, new dry lining to external wall, infilling floor trenches, new drainage under floor and a new mezzanine office level with a steel access stair. DKIT are also considering building south of the main building there is a former Energy Centre, in this building it is proposed that the currently vacant bay is also converted into a Plumbing and Electrical Apprenticeship teaching area.
