Passive Fire Protection Remedial Works at Plantation Primary School

Knowsley Council are seeking to procure the services of a passive fire protection specialist to undertake remedial works arising from an independent inspection report of Plantation Primary School. The scope of the contract is to provide internal Passive Fire Protection works for Knowsley Council within the Plantation Primary School building. The works will involve remediating actions that have arisen from Independent Fire Inspections compartmentation surveys, including, but not limited to: 4.1.1. Fire stopping of walls, ceilings, mechanical, electrical, water and gas risers, COMMS rooms, stairwells, protected lobbies and corridors and any other area highlighted within the fire strategy where remedial works are highlighted. 4.1.2. Installation of structural steel protection where incorrectly installed and highlighted. 4.1.3. Installation of fire barriers and cavity barriers where installed and highlighted. 4.1.4. Removal and reinstallation of plasterboard partitions, or alternative where required. 4.1.5. Removal of installations which are deemed to be unsatisfactory, and the instatement of new products and systems according to proven methods of performance. 4.1.6. Full replacement of fire doorsets, including door leaf, frame, glazing, seals, ironmongery and self-closing devices. 4.1.7. Remedial works to existing fire doorsets, where deemed appropriate. 4.1.8. Doorsets forming part of compartmentation, protected escape routes, risers, plant rooms and ancillary spaces. 4.1.9. Act as principal contractor under CDM regulations. 4.1.10. Liaise with onsite team and project manager for all associated works. 4.1.11. All works undertaken to be supervised and inspected by the installer company. ## Contract award
