Community Based Information & Advice

Description

To deliver high quality, free, independent and accessible personal advice, representation and advocacy to citizens of Aberdeenshire on a range of topics as set out at below. The provider shall be free to assist users of its service to challenge the practices and decisions of public bodies including the practices and decisions of Aberdeenshire Council. The provider shall provide Type I , Type II and Type III services to Aberdeenshire citizens (as defined by the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers Quality Assurance Framework (SNSIAP) 2009) and ensure compliance with relevant accreditation schemes as administered and introduced by the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB). Type I and Type II Services will be provided on the following: - Money Advice - Employment Advice - Social Security Benefits Advice - Family Law Issues - Taxation - Utilities - Housing - Other miscellaneous issues as appropriate Type III Services will be provided on the following - Social Security Benefits Advice - Housing Advice Lot 2: Buchan community information and advice services Open tender process. The contract will be 2 years with an option to extend it for a further 24 months Lot 3: Formartine Community Based Information and Advice Services open tender process. contract will be for 2 years with an option of a 24 month extention Lot 4: Garioch Community Based Information and Advice Services open tender process. The contract will cover 2 years with the option to extend for a further 24 months Lot 5: Marr Community Based Information and Advice Services open tender process. contract will cover 2 years with an option to extend a further 24 months Lot 6: Kincardine and Mearns Community Based Information and Advice Services open tender process. Contract will cover 2 years with an option to extend for a further 24 months. Lot 1: Banff and Buchan community information and advice services This will be an open tender process. The contract will be for 2 years with an option to extend up to an additional 24 months
