Assistive Technology lifetime* packages equipment and monitoring service, including installation, training, repair, maintenance, withdrawal and reconditioning where necessary, review, and monitoring (call centre) of electronic assistive technology equipment which will enable individuals to function independently or be maintained in their own homes or care home. *A Lifetime Assistive Technology Package is defined as any combination of the full range of Assistive Technology equipment, that is deemed necessary for each individual Client, from installation, including monitoring, repair, upgrades and maintenance until the Client no longer requires the equipment /service e.g. R.I.P, condition deteriorates, moves on to care where they might no longer require the equipment. However if the Client moves address and still requires the equipment/service then the provider must facilitate this. -The lifetime* packages will be required in the following two geographical areas: • Co. Monaghan • Co. Leitrim/ Co. Cavan -The monitoring service is required 24 hours per day / 7 days per week / 365 days per year for the lifetime of the client. -The provider must be able to supply and install any combination of the full range of prescribed Assistive Technology equipment to the older person’s home within one week of receipt of e-mailed order from authorised order contact.
