Description

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. The Contracting Authority is employing the open procedure to award this contract. In accordance with the provisions governing the conduct of the open procedure, any interested economic operator may tender for appointment as the successful tenderer. Horse Racing Ireland and Subsidiaries require the full range of Pension Administration and Consultancy services, as follows: (a) pension administrative services; (b) actuarial services; (c) consultancy services; (d) Investment Management Services; (e) legal and documentation services. Please refer to the attached Invitation to Tender document for a detailed description of requirements. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. HRI Headquarters are located in Ballymany, Newbridge, Co Kildare. The Contracting Authority is employing the open procedure to award this contract. In accordance with the provisions governing the conduct of the open procedure, any interested economic operator may tender for appointment as the successful tenderer. Horse Racing Ireland and Subsidiaries require the full range of Pension Administration and Consultancy services, as follows: (a) pension administrative services; (b) actuarial services; (c) consultancy services; (d) investment management services; (e) legal and documentation services. The scheme, which operates on a defined benefit basis, was established in 2007 to provide retirement and life assurance benefits for its members and is a distinct legal entity, separate in every respect from the principle employer; Horse Racing Ireland. The scheme was established as a result of a merger between 2 schemes — the turf club scheme and the racing regulatory board pension scheme.
