Supported Living Service - Provider Engagement Event

Published

Description

Please note that this is an invitation to an event. It is not a call for competition and no contract will be awarded as a direct result of the event. Salford City Council and Northern Care Alliance are pleased to invite interested provider organisations to hear about a new Approved Provider List (“APL”) we are planning to implement to support our strategic plans as set out in Salford’s Market Shaping Strategy, to help us promote and secure a vibrant social care market continually shaping around the changing needs of people. The new APL will be implemented in Salford to support the purchasing of a range of services. The system will be used to identify and secure Supported Living Services, with an intended commencement date of 1st June 2024. It is anticipated that the first opportunities to be issued under this system will be for services delivered to people living with learning disabilities. Further opportunities will be issued for people living with Mental Health and other conditions. Supported Living Services are provided to adults, who are ordinarily resident in Salford with a learning disability, who have been assessed by Salford Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) as requiring supported living services. The services will support people to live in their own home and the care provided will support people to live their best life and fulfil their aspirations. The resultant Supported Living Service contracts will look to enhance existing services by: Providing people with greater choice and control of the care and support they receive Encourage flexible models of care and support that are personalised to the individual Build good connections with local communities and services, providing people with increased opportunities to access health, social, leisure, educational and volunteering opportunities Empower people to make their own decisions and be supported to build independence Support people to live in their own home and provide environments where they feel safe, well supported, and secure Salford values Our values of Pride, Passion, People and Personal Responsibility clearly represent what Salford City Council and its health partners stand for. They underpin the way we work, make decisions, and do business. They are embedded in our policies as well as the way in which we behave with colleagues, customers, and partners – so that we live and breathe our values each day. These values are reinforcing our culture and informing the way in which we are transforming our service so that they are quicker, easier, and better. We are looking for providers who share our spirit, providers who are committed and understand the value of coproduction and flexible support that encompasses the assets, skills, and strengths of people, that is aspirational building on hopes, wishes and dreams. We are looking for dynamic, innovative, and creative providers who will help us shape Supported Living Services by providing the high-quality care and support to Salford people. What providers can expect from us: Open, transparent, trusted, and equal partnerships Salford’s commitment to creating a sustainable market that fosters a culture for quality, improvement, and innovation Permissions to try and test new models of care and support, building on innovation and creative thinking Integrated working practices beneficial to partners, people, families, and communities Working together we want Salford to be a beacon of excellence that promotes and secures high quality life experiences for Salford people Successful applicants to the APL for the delivery of Supported Living Services will be expected to be operational on 1st June 2024. Individual organisations, partnerships and consortia can take part in this exercise. Please note current providers of Supported Living Services will need apply to be a part of the APL. We would like to welcome interested parties to the planned provider engagement event in Salford on Thursday 20th July 2023, 1:00pm to 3:30pm where we will invite your views on our plans for the future of Supported Living Services in Salford, including the APL and connected tender opportunities. Information will be shared in respect of the current commissioning and contract model and the intended changes. To ensure that these intended changes are deliverable, we would like to gain some insight from providers on the strategic and operational considerations and any experience you may have of working under similar arrangements elsewhere. Once established, further details on the process of how to apply for this future opportunity will be set out on the ProContract e-tendering portal in due course.
