Description

Provision of a community dermatology service for patients within Hillingdon CCG. This is a ‘one-stop’ multidisciplinary consultant-led tier 3 clinical assessment and treatment service (CATS). The service treats conditions that cannot be managed by GPs in primary care (i.e. tier 3 dermatology conditions) (Tier 1 and 2 are to be managed by GPs in primary care) and does not cover the tier 4 (cases requiring hospital facility for managing them). It accepts referrals and treat patients of all ages. However, the service excludes any surgical procedures for children under the age of 16, for which patients must be referred to secondary care.
