Hire of Vehicles for Compliance Verification Testing

Description

The JRC is involved in the activity of vehicle market surveillance as required by EU Regulation 2018/858. To this purpose the JRC needs to hire vehicles selected on the basis of defined criteria (e.g. risk assessment criteria or substantiated complaint) that will be subjected to tests to verify the compliance of the vehicles with the applicable environmental performance or safety related requirements. All the tests are meant to reproduce typical driving conditions so that the vehicles are not abused and, in any case, will be restored to the initial conditions by the JRC or authorised workshops after the testing.
