Supply of Marine Electric Propulsion System for Passenger Pleasure Craft, Lough Gill Next.

Description

Supply and delivery of a complete marine electric propulsion system for a 75-passenger tour boat on Lough Gill Co. Sligo, Ireland. The vessel is currently diesel-powered and is to be converted to electric propulsion. This tender is for the supply of the propulsion system only. Removal of the existing engine, physical installation, and commissioning are not within the scope of this contract. The system shall be extra low voltage (48V DC nominal maximum) and shall comprise: a permanent magnet electric motor of not less than 45 kW continuous power with water cooled controller, wiring harness, throttle, ignition switch and a stainless steel motor frame; a reduction gearbox (selectable 3:1 or 2:1 ratio), lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules with a total installed capacity of not less than 78 kWh; battery management system; data combiner; battery monitoring touchscreen display; combined inverter/charger (minimum 8kW/10 kVA, 140A charger, dual AC input, 230V/50Hz); all communication cables, fuses, CAN-Bus isolators, connectors, and ancillary components; and motor and battery system drawings for ES-TRIN certification. The reference specification is based on a commercially available 45kW marine electric propulsion system with LiFePO4 battery bank or equivalent. Delivery to a single location in Ireland, to be confirmed at contract award.
