Description
Norfolk County Council has circa 9500 kilometres of road, which need to be regularly surveyed.The Council has awarded a contract for its road condition surveys, specifically Scanner, SCRIM and Footway Network surveys. Lot 1: Scanner Surveys Listed below are the specifications and Technical notes that this contract requires the successful contractors to follow and adhere.• Scanner Specification 2011, Vol 4 - Technical requirements: SCANNER Survey Data and Quality Assurance• Scanner Specification 2011, Vol 5 - Technical requirements: SCANNER Survey Parameters and Accreditation• UKPMS Technical Note 3 – HMDIF File Structure and Content• UKPMS Technical Note 3a – Scanner HMDIF SpecificationThe SCANNER surveys may only be carried out by survey equipment that has a current valid accreditation certificate, as defined in Volume 5 of the SCANNER Specification 2011 (or any subsequent updates) and as currently tested and issued by TRL Ltd (the official Auditors). Additional information: Initial term is 48 months with the option to extend by 24 months. Value given is for maximum term. Lot 2: SCRIM Surveys Provision of SCRIM Surveys. Additional information: The initial term is 4 years with the options to extend by 2 years. Lot 3: Footway Network Surveys UKPMS Footway Network Survey (FNS) to be carried out strictly in accordance with the national guidelines, described in The UKPMS user manual Volume 2: Visual Data Collection for UKPMS and specifically Chapter 9: Footway Network Survey (FNS) (latest version). Additional information: The initial term is 4 years with the option to extend by 2 years.
