Quick Quote for Works – Mobile Welding Repair Services

The Council's Community and Enterprise Resources and Housing and Technical Resources have a joint requirement to place a contract for Mobile Welding Repair Works across various services within the Council and across the South Lanarkshire area. To secure best value for the Council, the Council’s Procurement Service identified the most effective route to market as a Quick Quote for works procedure to determine the lowest priced tender where the value exceed 50,000.00 GBP but not 2,000,000.00 GBP under Standing Orders 3.2(a), 5.1, 20.5 and 21.2. The contract term is from 12 January 2026 to 11 January 2029 with the option to extend at the Council’s discretion for up to a further 12-month period. Lot 1: An Invitation to Quote was issued via Public Contracts Scotland-Tender (PCS-T) on 19 November 2025. Five contractors identified by the Procurement Service and officers from Community and Enterprise Resources alongside Housing and Technical Resources. Four bids were received by the closing date and the award was based on the Lowest Price Bid. The call-off period is from 12 January 2026 to 11 January 2029 with the option to extend at the Council's discretion for up to a further 12-month period.
