Wirral Council is seeking to appoint one organisation to provide a Direct Payment Support Service. The Service will be comprised of the following 3 elements: • A Direct Payment Support Service which will include information, guidance and support for Direct Payment recipients, Personal Assistants, and social care professionals. • A Payroll and managed accounts function, to enable people to enjoy the flexibility a Direct Payment offers without the responsibility of managing the budget themselves. • A digital Personal Assistant register which would match people with the skill set required to meet assessed needs. Lot 1: Wirral Council is seeking to appoint one organisation to provide a Direct Payment Support Service. The Service will be comprised of the following 3 elements: • A Direct Payment Support Service which will include information, guidance and support for Direct Payment recipients, Personal Assistants, and social care professionals. • A Payroll and managed accounts function, to enable people to enjoy the flexibility a Direct Payment offers without the responsibility of managing the budget themselves. • A digital Personal Assistant register which would match people with the skill set required to meet assessed needs. The Provider will be expected to enable Direct Payment recipients to manage their Direct Payments as independently as possible and maximise the choice and control of Direct Payment recipients over which aspects of the service they wish to access. The Provider will also contribute towards the development of Direct Payments in Wirral by supporting the Council’s ambitions to increase the uptake of Direct Payments in the borough.
