Design and Supply Standard & Resilient Slab Track Systems (URBAN/CENTRAL/NORTH)

Description

As part of the track system packages for each lot, Ferrovial BAM JV will be procuring all permanent way materials including the precast slab system for the switches and crossing units (S&C) and rail expansion devices (RED's). The supplier of the ironwork for the S&C & RED's is set by HS2 (VoestalpineTurnout Technology). The scope allocation/responsibility split for Standard Slabtrack between Others design and the Supplier for design is indicated as attached. This includes, but is not limited to bearers/slabs, rail fastening systems and any supporting layers above the Frost Protection Layer (FPL), structure deck or stations provided by Others, including any reinforcement if applicable. The scope allocation/responsibility split for Resilient Slabtrack between Others design and the Supplier for design is indicated as attached. This includes the supplier's resilient bearer or precast element (this would include any associated components such as reinforcement, resilient pads, boots), rail fastenings and S&C fixing arrangements. Additional information: Manufacturing and logistical strategy still to be discussed which will impact contract start and end date i.e. staggered production, early production with storage etc.
