Description
The Zero Waste Scotland Circular Economy Intern Programme was launched in 2020 to support businesses to identify, design and deliver circular economy practices by providing access to additional, resources for circular economy projects. The programme was developed in recognition of a key barrier faced by many organisations: limited internal capacity to explore and implement circular economy approaches alongside day-to-day operations. There remains a strong and ongoing role for an intern programme of this nature and Zero Waste Scotland would like to contract with a suitable organisation to recruit, manage and report on a series of internships to be placed within different enterprises in Scotland to support transition to circular business models Lot 1: Zero Waste Scotland (the ‘Client’) requires the provision of technical support from a suitably skilled and experienced third-party organisation to recruit and manage a series of internships to be placed within different enterprises in Scotland to support transition to circular business models The Contractor shall work closely with the Client to provide recruitment services that facilitate the identification, recruitment and placement of suitably qualified candidates into internship placements within Client-approved host enterprises. Placements shall be offered on a call-off basis for a duration of up to 12 months, for a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week. The exact duration of each placement will vary depending on the agreed scope, objectives and requirements of the individual placement, as approved by the Client. The services to be provided by the Contractor may include, either individually or in combination, and with input from the Client and the host enterprise as appropriate, the following: -Development of a suitable job description for each placement, aligned with the agreed scope and objectives. -Advertisement of the internship opportunity through appropriate and agreed recruitment/ media channels. -Shortlisting of suitable candidates against agreed selection criteria. -Coordination and conduct of interviews with suitable shortlisted candidates, in collaboration with the Client and host enterprise. -Contract management of the intern for the duration of the placement. -Provision of all payroll requirements required for the placement, including statutory obligations. -Exit management of the intern at the end of the placement, including end of contract processes.
