Description

Lot 1: The modification will provide supplementary capacity to the Aerial Surveillance and Verification (ASV) contract in order to continue to carry out a proactive aerial patrolling demand in excess of that which was anticipated when the contract was let. The supplementary capacity will be delivered using an additional King Air 200 to support the two already used in the service. This additional King Air will remain in place until the end of the contract in November 2024. Sensor equipment, crew and mission systems already in place under the ASV contract will be used to equip this third King Air to undertake maritime patrols for both the MCA and other government departments. Wider fleet support also already in place under the ASV contract will be used to provide resilience during surge periods.
