Description
This procurement event relates to procurement of overhead lines and associated equipment and services. National Grid (NG) are seeking to procure the nominated equipment and for certain lots options and opportunities to cover aligned installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities. NG is seeking to appoint suppliers with capacity and capability to deliver overhead lines and associated equipment and services. This procurement has been broken down into lots to best reflect the spread of capacity and capability in the market: NG typically has several projects requiring overhead lines equipment which can vary in location / site type. The contractual arrangement will comprise of UK and US framework agreements with call off contracts. The contract principles paper (see VI.3) describes those arrangements at a high level. The estimated total value in II.1.5 includes the US lots, the estimated values of which have been converted from USD to GBP at a rate of £1 = $1.33. Lot 1: HVAC Cable systems ≥ 275kV and above (UK) This Lot includes the supply of HVAC Cable systems ≥ 275kV and above for use in the UK, and associated supplies, services and other activities as applicable. Lot 2: AC Cables and Accessories (66kV - 274kV) (UK) This Lot includes the supply of AC Cables and accessories (66kV - 274kV) for use in the UK, and associated supplies, services and other activities as applicable. Lot 3: AC Cables and Accessories (2kV - 65kV) (UK) This Lot includes the supply of AC Cables and accessories (2kV - 65kV) for use in the UK, and associated supplies. Accessories specified by National Grid's UK distribution business (NGED) under their existing frameworks are excluded from this scope.
