Provision of Extensive Product Profiling and Analysis Services of Dairy Product Samples

Published

Description

The FHI industry led research programme will generate value-added innovative dairy ingredients or foods of benefit to health. It will leverage the research platforms that were well developed in the earlier phases of FHI, to support further innovation, knowledge enhancement and technology transfer to the food industry. The key focus is to translate the FHI results to date, into accountable commercial outputs with clear market focus provided by collaboration of the FHI industry partners with global food customers and strategic market partners. The Centre’s main mission is to understand and anticipate market and consumer trends so as to leverage and translate the world class scientific capabilities of the Irish academic partners into a pipeline of innovative, nutritional, functional ingredients and into the substantiation of health benefits of existing or new products for the world market. It will provide an internationally peer reviewed scientific programme to deliver state of the art technology platforms. This will drive further investment opportunities in food and health innovation for the wider food industry nationally and with international reach. Ultimately FHI will fuel the growth of the agri-food sector in Ireland and will enhance its competitiveness worldwide. Food for Health Ireland (FHI) would like to conduct extensive product profiling of dairy product samples (Whole Milk Powder (WMP), Butter and Cheese (Cheddar and Gouda)) through macro and micro compositional analysis. FHI will provide up to 35 samples of Butter, up to 40 samples of Cheese and approximately 27 samples of WMP (depending on availability). Samples will be provided for analysis by product type.
