Description

University of Manchester is seeking to bring about the transformation of the current LAN and WLAN to deliver a cost effective and righted sized solution. There are options for on-going support for the transformed solution. To provide networking services including: — design of upgraded network to provide new functionality such as “software defined networking” along with higher resilience, — transformation and transition of the current network to the new design, — enhanced support to agreed service Levels and 24 x 7 cover, — move billing to a consumption basis allowing the University to only pay for consumed services which will vary monthly and take account of academic year and student needs, — flexibility to allow the University to offer to staff and students enhanced digital services and experience.
